Great news for British F1 fans.

BBC Radio Five Live have announced that BBC Television have won a five year deal to screen Formula One from next year. I'm sure ITV shares will fall as a result.

It is great news as the memory of watching Damon Hill win the world championship without adverts seems quite distant. Speculation states that the deal would have cost £30 million a year, and this caught ITV out (in the same wat the BBC were caught out 12 years ago).

Thank you BBC. Will you bring back The chain by Fleetwood Mac as the theme tune?
